Product Description

Dova NFR 1010 is a new type of eco-friendly nitrogen-based flame retardant designed by DovaMAT. It contents high nitrogen content, 
and shows low smoke, low corrosiveness, good fluidity, no migration and high flame-retardant efficiency. This product is free of melamine 
and complies with the EU ROHS directive and REACH environmental protection regulations.

Benefits

1. Dova NFR 1010 is a reactive nitrogen-based flame retardant. 

2. It is with high nitrogen content and low dosage to achieve excellent performance of flame retardancy. It can be added 3~4% (wt) to reach at UL 94-V0 for new unreinforced Nylon (PA). For recycle purity Nylon, it has an efficient flame retardancy. 

3. Melamine free for both flame retardant and finished products (after multiple recycling injection and molding), which can meet the requirement of melamine residue from end customers. 
 
4. Its special crystal structure and chain-breaking mode can help glass fiber reinforced nylon to achieve good flame retardancy. 
 
5. It has good dispersibility in HDPE, thermoplastic elastomer and waterborne resin systems. It is not prone to agglomeration and has no white spots.

Applications

Dova NFR 1010 can be widely used in high molecular materials such as engineering plastics (PA, PBT), polyolefins, corrugated pipe, 
low smoke and halogen-free cable materials, thermoplastic elastomers and water-based textile coatings, etc.

Processing precautions:

1. Equipment Inspection (wear, temperature control, vacuum, cleaning): Implement dual vacuum exhaust and reduce processing temperatures. 

2. Process Optimization (material combination, feeding method, rotational speed): Adopt low-shear methods, primary feeding, and lower rotational speeds to ensure thorough dispersion of flame retardants. 

3. Formulation Adjustment (base material, additives): Use medium-to high viscosity blends, no addition of dispersants, lubricants, release agents, or antioxidants is required. Add hindered phenol antioxidants to the formulation. Use nylon-based organic black masterbatch for optimal and compatibility.

Dova MCA 306 is supplied in 25 kg bags / 1.000 kg shrink-wrapped pallets.

Storage
Dova MCA 306 is non-hygroscopic. However, when stored in open container, the product can still absorb small amounts of moisture owing to the high surface area of the powder. It is in sealed containers at room temperature in a dry place. Partially emptied containers should be carefully resealed after use. Minimum shelf life is 24months from the date of shipping when stored according to the said conditions.
